Organization

Source table: Organizations in Core Record Types (schema:Organization). An Organization is a legal entity with a legal name, a legal form, an industry and its own identifiers. Being a client, vendor or partner is a relationship, never a column here.

Rules and relationships

Legal Name* is calculated from Alternate Name* and Suffix, the suffix of the term linked in Entity Type. Entity Type, Industry and Scoped Terms link Classification Term; Primary Address and Registered Agent Address link Address. Branches links Branch: a site of this entity, not a second organization. Departments, Teams and Positions are the units and seats the company runs. Business Relationships (Subject) and (Counterparty) link Business Relationship rows in both directions. Operated By Group marks companies the group runs itself; it does not grant access. Campaigns (Accountable) is the inverse of the Campaign accountable organization.

Lifecycle and checks

Status uses Draft, Proposed, Active, On Hold, Archived and Superseded. Proposed is the guardrail for organizations born in the CRM, which may create organizations in Core through its two-way mirror: the duplicate key is the website or domain in Website°. Record health is the share of eight fields that are filled; Health check names the missing ones.

Source fields

Names, types, options and links are those configured in Core Record Types. The meaning is the first line of each field description in Airtable. Options describe configuration; they do not prove a rule is enforced elsewhere.
