Core

Shared records, source ownership and use across domains.

Reviewed 2026-10-28Markdown

Core is the base that owns the golden records of the group: people, organizations, memberships, organizational structure, places, campaigns and shared catalogs. The Airtable base is Core Record Types. Other systems read these records through mirrors and add their own facts locally. Core publishes and does not depend on its readers.

What lives in Core

Group Entities
Identity Person, Organization, Membership
Organizational structure Position, Team, Department, Branch, Business Relationship
Places Address, City, State, Country
Initiatives Campaign
Catalogs Classification Term, Tag, Cadence

The base has 16 tables and 254 fields as of 2026-10-28. Every table has a reference page. See the entity catalog.

Who reads Core

KPIs & OKRs, CRM, Tooling and Access, Communication, Systems Central and Products & Services keep mirrors of Core tables. Correct a shared fact in Core; correct a local link in the consuming system. Architecture and ownership lists every mirror and what is known about its sync.

Domain boundaries

People and memberships are not tool accounts: Tooling and Access owns accounts, workspaces and identity bindings. Communication owns messages and delivery. CRM owns leads and deals, interactions and the link from each Deal to its campaign. KPIs & OKRs owns targets, collection and results. Core keeps only facts that more than one domain reads and no domain owns.

People work in Core through Data views and grid intakes. Airtable Interfaces are not an operating path for this system.
