Membership
One person’s participation in one organization over a period.
Source table: Membership in Core Record Types (bds:Membership). A Membership is the fact that one person belongs to one organization over a period, in one or more positions. Every work fact about the person lives here, never on the person.
Rules and relationships
Link one Member and one Business Unit. A person in two organizations has two memberships. Position Held can contain several seats. Company Email, Access Level and Approval Limit belong to this organizational context. Reports To and Direct Reports relate memberships, not people. Heads (Department), Heads (Team) and Teams are inverses of the unit links. Business Relationships (Contact) and Campaigns (Accountable) show where this membership is a contact or accountable party. Membership ID is an auto number; Membership (Name) is a formula. KPI mirrors still show the older label Membership #.
Lifecycle and checks
Membership Status is Pending, Active, Inactive or Ended; set End Date when it ends. Source Employment Status and Source Archived are values carried from the legacy Operations base and are not maintained. Access Level is a business attribute, not proof of enforced permissions. The table has no completeness formula.
Source fields
Names, types, options and links are those configured in Core Record Types. The meaning is the first line of each field description in Airtable. Options describe configuration; they do not prove a rule is enforced elsewhere.
