Access
Who can see and edit what: permission per base, table and field, and who is billed.
Reviewed 2026-11-05Markdown
Access is granted per base. A collaborator sees every table of the base.
Inside a base
Editing can be restricted per table or per field. Visibility cannot. Hiding a table from a collaborator needs interface-only access.
Interface-only access with “viewer’s records” limits a person to their own records. It is the only record-level boundary Airtable offers.
Billing
Editors and creators are billed per workspace. Read-only collaborators are not.
