# Automations

Inspect the three active n8n workflows and their responsibilities.

## Workflow references

| Workflow | Responsibility |
| --- | --- |
| [Daily Digest](/automations/daily-digest) | Due requests, recipient resolution, Slack delivery and Message log |
| [Reading Reply](/automations/reading-reply) | Signed interaction, modal, Observation, evidence and message refresh |
| [Workspace cache](/automations/workspace-token-cache) | Workspace bot lookup, TTL and scheduled refresh |

The base has no Airtable automation, deployed or off. Views and intake formulas are native configuration, not automation runs. The prior Make workflow is historical. The Set Recurring automation that cloned Tasks lives in the legacy Operations base and is not part of this system.

## Workspace cache

Both consumers use the same workspace cache. Modal opening requests cache-only access; notifications may refresh missing or expired entries. Read the [cache contract](/automations/workspace-token-cache) for inputs, outputs and errors. Cache freshness is 15 minutes with a five-minute scheduled refresh; it does not rotate OAuth credentials.

## Operational boundaries

All three workflows are active and execution payload saving is disabled, so Communication Message is the delivery record. Daily Digest has had no recipient or schedule restriction since 2026-10-22 and has sent real messages since 2026-10-26. A Daily Digest retry is proposed, not built. Dynamic workspace selection does not dynamically route data to different KPI bases. None of these workflows runs Evaluation or generates Tasks. See [Maintenance](/systems/kpis-okrs/operations) and [Known gaps](/systems/kpis-okrs/known-gaps).
