# Tags in CRM

Local use of Tags in the CRM.

Tags classify CRM records. Since the Universal Tags rollout of 2026-10-22, every CRM table has a Tags link to this catalog; the link is optional and assigns nothing automatically. The automation marker cal-lead-n8n records capture origin; it does not enroll a record in a campaign. The legacy Campaign field is text; the campaign a lead came from is linked on the Deal, in Campaign°.

The rollout added 14 columns here: 12 reverse links from the newly tagged tables, plus Tags and From field: Tags, the two sides of a self-link: a catalog row may itself be classified, which does not make tags a hierarchy. Team 2 and Department 2 are the reverse links of the local Team and Department tables; the suffix exists because this table already has columns named Team and Department. Companies.tags and Campaign (mirror).Tags arrive through their own syncs and have no reverse column in this table.

## Maintenance

Correct shared facts at their owning source and local links in CRM. A table name or field description alone does not verify sync direction, field mapping, refresh interval or API write support. Campaign has a separately verified contract; do not generalize it to the other mirrors.
