# Membership in CRM

Local use of Membership (mirror) in the CRM.

[Shared definition and source fields](/systems/core/membership).

Accountable sellers are memberships, not just people. Business Unit is the company, Member is the person and Auth User links the acting account. CRM Business Unit ID reads the local Companies locator for campaign consistency. Membership # differs from the current Core Membership ID label. Verify the mapping before changing integration keys. Approval Limit and Source Employment Status are legacy consumer fields, not new Core definitions.

## Local usage

| Field | Storage | Current configuration |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Deals (Owner) | Linked records | [Deal](/systems/crm/entity-deal); Multiple-record picker |
| Automation: Lead Source | Linked records | [Automation: Lead Source](/systems/crm/entity-lead-source); Multiple-record picker |
| Interaction | Linked records | [Interaction](/systems/crm/entity-interaction); Multiple-record picker |
| Tasks | Linked records | [Tasks](/systems/crm/entity-task); Multiple-record picker |
| CRM Business Unit ID | Lookup | Via Business Unit → CRM Record ID |
| Tags | Linked records | [Tags](/systems/crm/entity-tags); Multiple-record picker |

Tags was added on 2026-10-22 by the Universal Tags rollout. It is an optional local classification from the shared catalog; it does not grant access, create tasks, change status or enroll a campaign, and it never writes back to the source.

## Maintenance

Correct shared facts at their owning source and local links in CRM. A table name or field description alone does not verify sync direction, field mapping, refresh interval or API write support. Campaign has a separately verified contract; do not generalize it to the other mirrors.
