# Known gaps

Open decisions, schema defects and planned work in Core, each with its Work Item.

These items describe Core as of 2026-10-28. None of them is available today. Work Item titles refer to Systems Central.

## Ownership and sync

- The rule that Core is the only writer of shared records, and every other base mirrors them read-only, is proposed, not yet adopted. Work Item: Accept the rule that Core owns the golden records.
- The CRM two-way exception and its guardrails are not yet written into that rule. Work Item: Document the CRM two-way exception to Core ownership.
- No mirror has a written contract for writer, freshness and conflicts, except Campaign and the four Tags catalogs. Work Item: Write the mirror sync contract per domain (writer, freshness, conflicts).
- Uniqueness keys, merge approval and history of critical changes are not defined. Work Item: Define uniqueness keys, merge approval and critical-change history.
- How a lead becomes a Core record is not settled. Work Item: Settle lead-to-Core conversion and Relationship types/states.

## Missing behavior

- New People are not set to Proposed automatically. Work Item: Add a Core automation that sets new People to Proposed.
- Superseded has no target: People lacks Supersedes / Superseded By links. Work Item: Add Supersedes / Superseded By links on Core People.
- There is no Verify Person or Verify Company intake. Work Item: Build Core Verify Person and Verify Company intakes.
- The Tags catalog has no retirement field. Work Item: Add a retirement field to the Core Tags catalog.
- Organization Relationships has no reciprocal labels. Work Item: Define reciprocal organization-relationship labels and acceptance.

## Schema defects

- Address.Zipcode is a number and drops leading zeros. Work Item: Change Core Address Zipcode from number to text.
- Cities lost its Identifier field. Work Item: Confirm whether removing Identifier from Core Cities was intended.
- Legacy ` - OLD` and text columns remain: Positions.Held By - OLD, States.Companies - OLD, States.Compliance Global, Countries.Compliance Global and States.Address. Their descriptions still promise links. Work Items: Remove leftover ' - OLD' attic fields after a dependency check; Fix legacy field-description validation errors in Core and CRM.
- States has two address columns: Address (text, no description) and Address 2 (the live link, no description).
- Descriptions are missing on the Tags table and on 17 of its 20 fields, and on Organizations.Tag, Website° and Notes, People.Organizations [membership] and Notes, and Team.tags and Department.tags.
- Department.Name is a formula, but its description says to enter the name.
- The Organization Relationships Division Of rows use From = parent, To = unit, which reads against the Relationship Type description.
- The People views schema:Person, by Status, by Tag and System Users describe a Fintable projection with Operations as authority. by Status is grouped by Tags, not Status.
- The States step views start at Step 2, and the Cities and States step views have no routing filter.
- Department Channel Identifier may conflict with the tool-identifier rule. Work Item: Settle Department Channel Identifier versus the tool-identifier rule.

## Consumer naming

Three consumer tables mirror Team under other names: KPIs & OKRs Memebership, CRM Positions and Tooling and Access Grid view. Work Item for the KPI table: Rename or replace the misnamed 'Memebership' team table in KPIs.

## Confirm before relying on it

Sync settings, source views and refresh are confirmed only for the Campaign and Tags mirrors; check the others in the consumer base's sync settings before relying on them. Confirm workflow state and behavior in n8n.
